Praise Jesus!

Instead of giving up something for lent, I'm going to start ADDING something fun instead. Not that I'm Catholic, as much as my parents tried their darnedest. I didn't think of this notion until just now, so this year doesn't count since lent is almost over and Jesus will hatch out of his Easter egg/tomb yet again in another couple of weeks. (Is that the metaphor?)

I've abandoned the notion of my soul being everlasting, or existing at all, so its not really a concern of mine that my idea may be considered heresy.

Here are some ideas of what I may add to my life for lent 2010:

Going to South by Southwest or possibly Coachella (whichever one has the best bands) maybe BOTH!!
A new Betsey Johnson dress, or possibly Nanette Lapore
Going to Yellowstone/Yosemite or a ROAD TRIP. Gotta see my great country the USA.
Visiting Portland OR, as long as its not rainy.
Possibly getting a new tattoo that I've been thinking about for the last 4 or so years.


How about going back to school to finish that Bio degree? Eh? Sounds good! Someone give me $40,000 to pay for the tuition it costs for 2 years of PUBLIC school in Massachusetts. Maybe Jesus will tell God to make public school public again. Here's hoping (or praying?).
